The Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany
The Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany is the country‘s highest distinction in the field of design. It is known as the »Prize of Prizes«. The reason: no other design award sets such strict criteria on entries. Thus, a company can only enter the competition for the Design Award if its product has already been awarded a national or international design prize. Another precondition for entry is that companies must have been nominated by the Ministries and Senators of the Federal States, or by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology. The award is given for outstanding achievements in the fields of product and communication design.
red dot design award
With more than 10,000 submissions from 60 countries, the international "red dot design award" ranks among the largest and most renowned design competitions in the world. Each year an international jury reviews and evaluates the submitted products according to criteria such as degree of innovation, functionality and the formal quality. The award is a seal of quality; it stands for the best in design.
iF awards
Ever since 1953 the name "iF" has stood for competent and reputable services involving the interface between design services and business. iF’s design competitions have helped it become one of the world's biggest and best-known design centers. The iF seal of fine design quality has become an internationally recognized trademark, serving as an orientation guide in the world's markets.

Museum of Architecture and Design
Founded in 1950, Good Design is the world's oldest and most celebrated international design competition. The jury judges submissions based on aesthetic criteria including innovation, form, materials, construction, concept, function and utility. Product appearance and aesthetic appeal are also considered. The Athenaeum is one of Chicago's most prestigious cultural institutions and the only museum of architecture and design in the United States.
