The Ur Uhr principle
The first watch ever produced (Die Ur Uhr - or 'the primordial watch') of course only had one single hand. For example, both the sundial and the hourglass provide a simple and original form of measuring time. A true MeisterSinger watch follows its' role models in this endeavor. In the beginning a watch was purerly a measuring instrument such as a tachometer is today. No one questions that most measuring instruments only have a single hand. This should be obvious for a watch as well, as it is an instrument measuring time. |
